Overview
When creating positions in Educator Talent Portal (ETP) you can specify how applicants will apply for the position. The system offers different application methods to suit your organization's needs.
Application Methods
Accept Applications via Email
This option allows applicants to complete the application directly within the system.
Direct Applicants to URL
This option allows you to direct applicants to an external application system or website. When configured correctly, applicants clicking "Apply" will be redirected to your specified URL instead of completing the ETP application process.
Setting the Application Method
Navigate to Positions and click Add Position, or click Add Position from the homepage.
- Scroll to the Application Method section.
- Choose your preferred application method:
a. Accept Applications via Email
b. Direct Applicants to URL - If you select "Direct Applicants to URL," enter the complete URL in the field provided.
- Complete the rest of the position form and click Save
Editing the Application Method
Navigate to Positions.
- Search for your position or select from the list. Click on your position.
- Click Edit.
- Scroll to the Application Method section.
- Choose your preferred application method:
a. Accept Applications via Email
b. Direct Applicants to URL - If you select "Direct Applicants to URL," enter the complete URL in the field provided.
- Complete the rest of the position form and click Save
Important Notes
- When using "Direct Applicants to URL," applicants will not complete any portion of the ETP application process
- The URL should be a complete web address
- Test the redirect after setting up the position to ensure it works correctly
- This setting applies only to the specific position being edited
Permissions Required
To modify a position's application method, you need Admin Position Edit permission
